"If this is their choice, then let it be so, let them come to me here, in my world" is the cautiously committed first impression I recieved upon impact.

The scene suggests that the individual must carefully balance the role of both predator and prey as she takes what appears to be a "high ground" position in the trees, knowing that there is both a measure of dominance, as well as vulnerability in both the initial stealth, and subsequent exposure post discovery of herself or others.

Her body is the first thing noticed on impact. Her rediness to adapt to any situation is clear in her stance, and upon continuing to take in the image, you then see that her face makes sure that errors such as hubris are not allowed to be a deciding factor in her actions.

Her eyes show reservation, but her mouth shows a determination not to allow that reservation to hinder her.

The light around her is clear, and of great use to her, yet her reservation would prefer the darkness. The size of limbs coupled with the scarcity of the smaller branches and leaves tell me that this position is only temporary, and her stance is warranted as departure must come soon.

I would have liked to have seen more description of her. Maybe multiple weapons, or the one weapon in a better line of sight, maybe more clothing, and because of that, I had to withhold a half-star from what could have been a 4 for originality and vision. The clarity of her and her position in the trees was a well deserved 4 in technique, the background foiliage has no need for clarity because it does not serve her immediate purpose. The initial impact was great, but without more description of her, she remains shy that half star for impact.
